Kevin Carter serves as Director of Business Development at EcoMap Technologies, where he builds strategic partnerships and identifies market applications for the company's AI-powered ecosystem intelligence platform. His work directly advances EcoMap's mission of making information more accessible to economic development organizations.

Kevin brings extensive experience in ecosystem building and relationship development to his role at EcoMap. His professional focus centers on creating meaningful connections and programs that deliver real value to stakeholders across entrepreneurial communities.

As Director of Business Development, Kevin leads EcoMap's partnership strategy and market expansion efforts. He identifies strong market applications for the platform while building relationships with economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, and innovation communities nationwide.

Kevin co-founded PLACE Builders, a place-based ecosystem fellowship program created to honor the memory of EcoMap's late CEO and Co-Founder, Pava LaPere. The program continues Pava's legacy of building meaningful entrepreneurial ecosystems and supporting community development initiatives.

Before joining EcoMap, Kevin served as the first Student Program Manager for FastForward U, Johns Hopkins University's student entrepreneurship center. In this role, he developed the university's first accelerator program, built an alumni entrepreneur mentorship network, and managed grant funding for student entrepreneurs.

Kevin's professional approach emphasizes building relationships, connections, and programs that hold real significance for stakeholders. His experience spans university entrepreneurship ecosystems, grant management, and strategic partnership development across multiple sectors.
